Managing Subscriptions
Aruba Central supports the following types of subscriptions:
- Device subscription—Allows you to manage and monitor your devices from Aruba Central. The device subscriptions can be assigned only to the devices managed by Aruba Central. For example, if your account has any APs managed by Aruba Central, you can assign only service subscription to these devices.
- Service subscription—Allows you to enable value added services on the Instant AP managed from Aruba Central. For example, if you have APs, you can assign a service subscription for Guest Access.

Assigning Device Subscriptions
In case of Aruba Central automatic assignment of subscriptions is enabled by default and hence, all the services are selected for automatic subscription. You can also disable the auto subscription to manually assign subscriptions.
Disabling Automatic Assignment of Subscriptions.
To disable automatic assignment of subscriptions, use one of the following methods:
From the Subscription Assignment Page

page, under , click . - Under , toggle the slider. All the devices in your inventory are selected for automatic assignment of subscriptions. You can edit the list by clearing the existing selection and re-selecting devices.
When a subscription assigned to a device expires or is cancelled, checks for the available subscription tokens in your account and assigns the longest available subscription token to the device. If your account does not have an adequate number of subscriptions, you may have to manually assign subscriptions to as many devices as possible. To view the subscription utilization details and the number of subscriptions available in your account, go to Global Settings > Key Management page.
Manually Assigning Subscriptions
To manually assign subscriptions to devices or override the current assignment:

- Select the devices to which you want to assign subscriptions.

Removing Subscriptions from Devices
To remove the subscriptions from the devices, complete the following actions:

1. On the > page, ensure that the toggle is turned off. The devices that have the subscriptions assigned are selected and highlighted in green.
2. Clear the check box for the device from which you want to unassign the subscription and click . The pop-up window with the message opens.
3. Click to confirm. The subscription is unassigned and the status for the device is marked as in the devices table.
