Configuring an External Repository

Aruba Central (on-premises) supports SCPSecure Copy Protocol. SCP is a network protocol that supports file transfers between hosts on a network. or SFTPSecure File Transfer Protocol. SFTP is a network protocol that allows file access, file transfer, and file management functions over a secure connection. servers as external repositories for file transfer. Users may be asked to provide the external server credentials every time they try to access these repositories. Aruba Central (on-premises) allows you to configure repository settings at once and use this information for all operations.

To configure external repository settings:

  1. In the Network Operations app, filter All Devices.
  2. Under Settings, click Global SettingsThe System Setup tab is displayed.
  3. Click System tab.
  4. Click the Repository tab. The Repository page opens.
  5. To add a new repository, click the plus icon (+). The Add New Repository pop-up window opens.
  6. Enter the following details:
    • Repository Name—Name of the external repository
    • Protocol—Select the file transfer protocol. For example, SCP or SFTP.
    • Server—Enter the server address.
    • Port—Enter the port number.
    • User—User name of the server access.
    • Password—Password for server access.
  7. Click Save.
