Configuring IAPs for Palo Alto Networks Firewall Integration
Instant Access Points (IAPs) maintains the network (such as mapping IP address) and user information for its clients in the network. To integrate the IAP network with a third-party network, you can enable an IAP to provide this information to the third-party servers.
To integrate an IAP with a third-party network, you must add a global profile. This profile can be configured on an IAP with information such as IP address, port, user name, password, firewallFirewall is a network security system used for preventing unauthorized access to or from a private network. enabled or disabled status.
Configuring an IAP for Network Integration
To configure an IAP for network integration:
- In the app, use the filter to select a group or a device.
- Under , click .
- Click the icon. The tabs to configure access points is displayed.
- Click , and click . The Services page is displayed.
- Click the accordion.
- Select to enable PAN firewall.
- Specify the and . Ensure that you provide user credentials of the PAN firewall administrator.
- Re-enter the password in .
- Enter the PAN firewall .
- Enter the port number within the range of 1—65535. The default port is 443.
- Enter the client domain in .
- Click .
